Prosthesis. Rehabilitation. Surgery.

The Clinic of Ortopedijos Technika is the only medical institution in Lithuania where patients are provided with rehabilitation after amputation together with prosthesis. A team of high-qualified specialists rehabilitates about 400 patients per year. Every patient is provided with an individual program with the purpose to prepare for prosthesis, its application and training. Rehabilitation treatment is directed to help a patient return to a full value everyday life. 

The foot, arthroscopic and other operations of bones and soft tissues are performed by surgeons working in the Surgery department. 

OT specialists are especially experienced in diabetic foot care. Since 1994 an international scientific practical project in prophylaxis of diabetic amputations is developed together with Manchester Royal Clinic. There was established first specialized diabetic foot care room in Lithuania.

The Outpatient Department attends about 40.000 patients per year. Consultations, examinations and combined treatment are provided in the outpatient department in case of:
- incorrect carriage, spinal and foot deformations;
- children bandy-foot and flat-foot;
- diseases of joint, tendons and muscles.

Patients’ problems can be resolved by common efforts.
